Lancôme has announced that Zendaya Coleman is the brand’s new global ambassador. Coleman has joined the beauty brand’s other spokesmodels including Lupita Nyong’o and Taylor Hill. Nyong’o became the first black woman to be named Lancôme's ambassador in 2014.
Speaking about Coleman's appointment, Lancôme global brand president Françoise Lehmann said: “We look forward to a joyous future with Zendaya, whose charisma, influence in film, music and fashion is undoubted. Zendaya brings a youthful and a unique approach to beauty that perfectly complements Lancôme’s vision and creativity.”
The 22-year-old actress and Lancôme’s youngest global ambassador said that joining the brand is a “huge honour.”
Coleman has often used her platform to highlight the importance of representation. Last year, she called out Hollywood for its issues with colourism.
