Glossier Moves Towards Inclusivity

The brand has expanded its Perfecting Skin Tint and Stretch Concealer shade ranges in order to serve a more diverse customer base

Glossier has doubled the colour ranges of its Perfecting Skin Tint and Stretch Concealer, labelling them from the darkest to the lightest, starting with a G1 (darkest) to G12 (lightest). The brand has posted a series of nine photos on Instagram that showcase the different shades of the products and designed a guide to help customers find their perfect shade.

Speaking about the expansion of the colour range, Glossier head of product development Kym Davis said: "We knew that there were gaps that needed to be filled."

The cosmetics brand started out with just five shades: light, medium, dark, deep, and rich.

In a post-Fenty Beauty world where consumers expect brands to be more inclusive, it seems that Glossier has taken the opinions and concerns of its customers into consideration and made a step in the right direction.
