Marc Jacobs Hires Nikkie de Jager
Marc Jacobs Beauty has announced that Nikkie de Jager is now the brand’s global artistry advisor. The appointment is significant as it may represent a shift in the way that brands and influencers work together going forward.
"Over this next year, I am going to be meeting regularly with the Marc Jacobs Beauty team to collaborate with the brand on digital strategies and content, test and provide feedback on new products before they launch, provide my thoughts on existing products, and (of course!) give you some sneak peeks," said Marc Jacobs Beauty global artistry advisor Nikkie de Jager.

A self-taught makeup artist with a true passion for beauty and a desire to inspire the world with the transformative power of makeup, de Jager has over 11 million subscribers on Youtube and Instagram across more than 145 countries. Now, at just 24 years old, de Jager is a household name in the beauty world, having created beauty videos with celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Drew Barrymore and Jessie J. She continues to push beauty boundaries with new beauty products’ reviews, and makeup challenges.
In an Instagram post published by the makeup brand, de Jager revealed that she will be integrated into the brand’s product development process, as well as share her expertise around the world on both Marc Jacobs Beauty and her own channels.
The influencer also shared that she will be providing exclusive behind-the-scenes content at the next Marc Jacobs fashion show in February, and will be setting up a new web series with the designer.
