Retail giant Zara has launched its first lipstick collection. Zara Ultimatte, marks a continuing expansion of its beauty and cosmetics offering
Much like the apparel side of the business, the new lipsticks are affordable, ranging from US $10 to US $13 each. The full-coverage formula gets its matte but not non-drying texture thanks to hydrating argan oil and vitamin E.
A representative from Zara’s parent company Inditex said the new launch was “inspired by the kind of makeup needed to create ad campaigns”. In fact, renowned British makeup artist Pat McGrath, who has worked on campaigns for Christian Dior and Armani Beauty, created the colour palette.
Made in France and designed in LA, the collection features 12 high-pigment lipsticks, eight liquid-matte lipsticks, a box kit with three red colours and a limited-edition, behind-the-scenes kit. While only available for purchase on the Zara website, the company will ship worldwide.
